The mission of the Guilford County Schools system is to ensure that every student achieves mastery of academic skills essential for success in life and acquires the knowledge needed to live as a productive citizen in a rapidly changing world, and that every student gains understanding and respect for self and others.
Magnet Schools
The Guilford County Magnet Schools Programs give parents a choice of educational opportunities for their children. Each of these schools has a unique theme which enhances the basic curriculum required in the state of North Carolina. This allows parents to choose the programs which match their special interests and educational needs.

Welcome to Greensboro and the web site of the Guilford County Council of PTA chapters. Our Council is comprised of 94 schools with a total system population of more than 61,000 students. We estimate an annual growth rate of between 1,100-1,200 students each year.

Guilford Day School is an independent, not for profit school providing a positive educational environment for children with learning disabilities and/or attention deficit disorders.
Greensboro Day School
Greensboro Day School is a coeducational, college preparatory, non-sectarian independent school for students of average to superior ability in grades K-12.
B'nai Shalom Day School
B'nai Shalom is a caring community in which students, teachers and parents work cooperatively to foster within each student academic excellence, a passion for lifelong learning, and a strong, personal Jewish Identity.
Our Lady of Grace School
Our Lady of Grace School was founded in 1953 to support Catholic families in the education of their children. The school provides approximately 450 students in grades K-8 with a strong academic program in a loving, disciplined, Catholic environment. The central purpose of the school is spiritual development. It is nurtured through prayer; regular liturgical celebrations, instruction in the Catholic faith, and service projects.
